No More Excuses

Last week I visited Asbury University in Kentucky where a student chapel service that started on Wednesday has continued, non-stop. I’m going to tell you my experience there, plus what else is happening and how you can engage.

In addition to Asbury KY, Janine and I did a Heaven in business workshop in Washington, DC and joined our first Bethel Leaders Network regional call, hearing testimonies from the upper north east of America. On top of all that I was in Indianapolis participating in a healing and deliverance conference with Ken Fish. Here’s what is happening, what I am hearing and what you need to do as a result.

You are invited to be part of this awakening and there are no exceptions. All you need do is say “YES” and put on the daily life that Jesus gave you access to (read Galatians 5). No excuses.

Stop doing this:

• Stop procrastinating saying you will attend, read, pray, exercise, change toxic relationships…. Do it today. Stop saying ‘one day’ and make today ‘day one’
• Stop spending your money and time on what does not satisfy. Any activity that puts distance between you and God or you and people is not ok. Cancel the subscription, delete the app, stop the daydreaming…
• Stop listening and feeding on anything that doesn’t lead to life. Gossip. Conspiracies. Teaching that leads to arguments and division.

Start doing this:

• Start making room for the Holy Spirit. Turn aside and tune in AS you go about your day: in the car, with the client, on lunch break…
• Start a new level of surrender and commitment. Ask Him what you need to know in any given situation, challenge or moment.
• Start intentionally increasing life-giving connection with God and with people. Take responsibility for your time and prioritize that which inspires and challenges you to grow

Keep doing this:

• Keep doing your day job… with excellence! Ask Holy Spirit for strategies to serve better, and represent Him well. Keep growing
• Looking for opportunities, everywhere, to give your life away. Who can you encourage? Who can you offer to pray for? Where can you sacrificially give that is producing fruit?
