It's Entirely Possible with Janine Mason
Apr 04, 2023It all started on an early morning flight from Canada heading home to California. I had been a guest speaker at a conference alongside Steve and Wendy Backlund, who are people of great hope and faith. (IgnitingHope.com) Up early after long days and late nights of ministry, my plan was to try and catch up on some sleep while on the first of my flights. It wasn’t to be.
I kept finding myself ‘interrupted’ by some of the most ridiculously faith-filled thoughts I’d ever had. Having never had such a stream of thoughts before I was determined to capture them and I kept opening my eyes to write another of the impossibility-defying ideas down.
The phrase my thoughts all had in common was, ‘It’s entirely possible..’ As I somewhat reluctantly engaged with the flow of thoughts and ideas about how good God is and also how powerful, I realized that there is literally nothing that doesn’t go at the end of that phrase. He, as His word says, is able to do exceedingly, abundantly more than we can ask or even imagine. I can imagine pretty big so what He can do is always bigger than that.
He is so loving toward me that it’s entirely possible that I will encounter that love today in a powerful, life-changing way. Why not?
He is so full of power and authority that it’s entirely possible that my friend in the hospital gets healed and sent home today.
And if I really upgrade my thinking to begin to align with His thinking, then it’s entirely possible that the whole hospital where my friend is also gets healed and the hospital will empty out of patients. Why? Because He’s that good and He’s that powerful and His eye is on me for good.
So, on that early morning flight I decided to ‘test’ this new-found hope-filled thinking out. Until that point in my life, my travel experience was definitely lacking in favor. I’d watch as Andy experienced all kinds of random benefits, and I missed out. That day, as I ‘experimented’, I had a different experience.
It’s entirely possible, I thought to myself, that I will have the only empty seat in the whole plane beside me. And I did.
It’s entirely possible that my carry-on luggage that had to be checked will be the first out. And it was.
For the rest of the day as I flew home nearly every time I had a thought that started with ‘It’s entirely possible…’ it happened. Was it possible that God was trying to get my attention? I believe it was so.
When we engage our faith to begin to see what is entirely possible, we are positioning ourselves to receive miracles. I’ve now ‘played’ “It’s Entirely Possible…” many times over. Sometimes alone, sometimes with a friend and (the most fun) in a crowd. And every time I’ve played tremendous faith arises and joy is released and often times miracles are released too. Like the time that cancer disappeared, or the elderly lady got released from the hospital way earlier than predicted. Why does this happen? Because we are partnering our faith with the truth of His word that says, “Nothing is impossible for those who believe.”
It takes courage to put it out there, to declare it’s entirely possible that my house will be paid off this week, or that my relationships will be restored. But I’d rather risk disappointment than live with less hope or less faith in a good God whose face is turned towards me.
So, I’m off to play another round of “It’s Entirely Possible…” Anyone want to join me?
