Tonya Raines is the owner and consultant of the Keystone Resource Center. Keystone is an educational and coaching business that assists business owners and leaders in fulfilling their Kingdom impact. Tonya has dedicated her professional career to the betterment of the nonprofit industry in Springfield. Some of her career successes include developing and growing the first successful HUD housing counseling program in Southwest Missouri. To date, thousands of low-to-moderate income families have obtained or maintained home ownership through this program. She also played a fundamental role in bringing the Circles program to her local community. As a lifelong volunteer, she has lent her experience to support local nonprofit such as Habitat for Humanity, Community Partnership of the Ozarks, LeadHer and Springfield Community Land Trust.
Julie Forrester has owned and operated Tuscan Hill, an event venue on the northeast edge of Springfield, Missouri for 11 years. Tuscan Hill has hosted every imaginable celebration from weddings to executive leadership conferences to nonprofit fundraising to direct sale product parties to women’s retreats to showers, birthdays, anniversaries, retirements and baptisms, and so much more.
But, in 2019, we have had a significant PURPOSE SHIFT. While we will always serve our local community in all of the ways mentioned, we are transitioning and positioning to become known locally, regionally, nationally, and perhaps internationally, as a Conference, Event and Retreat Center. Our objective is to move towards 80% conferences and retreats (for guests from all across the country) and 20% other events for our local community.
And so, Tuscan Hill enters into its 12th year rebranded as “The Vine at Tuscan Hill.” Inspired by John 15:5, we want “The Vine at Tuscan Hill,” to positively impact not only our local community but to expand its reach to other communities and regions. We want “What happens at The Vine” . . . to have exponential reach to positively impact well beyond the 12 acres here! The peace and presence of God on the property is so palpable, that we believe for every guest to experience His peace and presence and that it goes with them to have global impact. We have to expand to fulfill the purpose. When construction is complete, individuals, businesses, nonprofits and churches will be able to book our 6000 sf Conference, Event and Retreat Center. Tuscan Hill will also bring speakers and musicians to our stage. Those events will be open to the public. The Retreat Center will host multi-day events with lodging for leadership and staff.
As an entrepreneur, Julie has owned other businesses and has two more in the works. She draws from her career experiences and wisdom from God to guide her in every next step with the Conference, Event and Retreat Center.
