Dec 18, 2023Is goal setting and planning with Jesus any different to 'ordinary' goal setting? Do you just make up best educated guess for the year or is there some secret formula to work out where you will be? Here's three simple keys I use to make business plans WITH Jesus, using examples from our 'expanding-to-the-east-coast' mandate. Listen to this as a podcast here.

The three approaches to walking with God are: 1. Passive: This approach involves sitting back and waiting for God to act or speak without taking any initiative or action on one's own. It is characterized by a lack of engagement and reliance solely on God's direction. 2. Performance: This approach is focused on proving one's love for God through their own efforts and achievements. It involves striving to accomplish tasks and goals in order to gain God's approval and favor. 3. Partnership: This approach emphasizes a relationship with God where there is a mutual collaboration and cooperation. It involves actively listening to God's voice, seeking His guidance, and working together with Him in all aspects of life and decision-making. It is characterized by a sense of trust, dependence, and surrender to God's leading.
1. Vision: Seek God's guidance and ask Him for His dreams and plans for your business. Listen to His voice and write down the thoughts and ideas you receive. 2. Plan Development: Once you have a vision, turn it into a plan. Seek wise counsel and input from others. Use the principles of planning found in the book of Proverbs to establish your plan. 3. Execution: Take action and execute your plan. Understand that the execution process may be messy and require adjustments along the way. Stay connected to God, listen for His guidance, and make daily steps and actions that move you towards your goals.
