Conference Recap

Last week in Atlanta, we gathered for the annual Heaven in Business conference—three days of powerful teaching, activation, and encounters with the Holy Spirit in the marketplace. It was an event marked by deep revelation, practical wisdom, and tangible demonstrations of God's power in business and personal life. Here’s a recap of the key moments and lessons learned:

Opening Session: The Holy Spirit – Our Competitive Advantage

After a dessert and coffee infused meet and greet and 200 business people joining together in worship, Andy Mason opened the conference with a powerfully practical message on the Holy Spirit as the difference-maker in business. He unpacked how it was to our ADVANTAGE that Jesus left the planet (see John 16:7) and that the same Spirit that rested on Jesus, now lives in us and brings the wisdom, understanding, knowledge, might and the fear of the Lord... at work just as much as in ministry.

Day 1: The Fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, multiplying your impact

Kara Sparks kicked off the day with a timely session on the importance of pausing and listening—reminding us that in the busyness of business, the greatest advantage we have is learning to hear and respond to God's voice.

Janine Mason then spoke on two critical truths to partnering with Holy Spirit at work: 1. The unseen realm is more real than you know so raise expectancy and intentionality and 2. The Holy Spirit is INSIDE you, so you have to believe that who you are is enough. When you have hope for any given area, it fuels in you the discipline to go after it.

John Bevere brought a powerful word how the person afraid OF God, hides, but the person who fears God (reverence and awe) is terrified of being apart from God. Did you know there are 40 distinct promises to those who fear God, and the greatest is friendship WITH Him.

In John Bevere's second session he unpacked the principle of faithfulness which is tied to the mandate to multiply. You can find this message in his book, X: Multiply Your God-Given Potential and also The Awe of God

Workshops followed, featuring:

  • Bob Perry – activating the room with prayer that gets results.
  • Ryan Collins – Exploring kingdom innovation and how believers can lead the way in creativity and industry transformation.
  • Jonathan & Kara Sparks – Equipping us with a kingdom vision to align business with God's purposes.

We closed out the day with a case study from Paul van Hoesen, who shared his journey of navigating impossible business challenges by relying on the Invisible One—building a listening relationship with the Holy Spirit in real time.

Day 2: Keeping Our Eyes on God in Business

Steve Hale opened the day with a thought-provoking session on Gazing at God and Glancing at Your Business. He reminded us that our priority and focus must remain on the Lord, trusting Him to direct our paths rather than being consumed by our circumstances.

As the morning continued, we experienced powerful moments of group prayer activation. Testimonies of healing broke out in the room—plantar fasciitis and reproductive pain disappeared, and a lump in an ear significantly reduced in size. These moments reinforced that God is actively moving in every sphere, including business.

Jo Moody then ignited the room with incredible stories of engaging with God wherever we are, proving that His power isn’t limited to church settings but is meant for everyday life. What limits us is doubt which stems from fear, and fear itself, which is a manifestation of the lack of love.

After lunch Jenn Jackson unpacked her case study of being in a high pressure, high emotion, highly public conflict situation and how she navigated this with the Holy Spirit. In spite of so many opportunities to get offended and draw back, she leaned into total forgiveness and saw her colleagues, company and most of her community come through stronger than before. The keys? Daily listening to Holy Spirit and practicing moment by moment total forgiveness.

Workshops continued with:

  • John Hemken – Sharing insights on having Jesus as our CEO (without being weird).
  • Steve Hale – Encouraged the room with wisdom and stewardship in business.
  • Bob Perry - Lit up a full room for the second time with prayer that get's results.

We ended the day's sessions on an electric combo of Jonathan & Kara Sparks – revealing three levels of kingdom business impact with stories of each plus a glimpse into whats coming up with the Hope Directive - taking the teaching, resources and relationships of Heaven in Business around the world.

The final, evening session included extended worship, led by Chris and Summer Shealy and their team, followed by an impartation session with Jo Moody, releasing fresh vision and boldness into every attendee.

Day 3: Activation and Masterminds

The final half-day was dedicated to training and activation, specifically focused on mastermind groups—a crucial tool for business leaders to grow, collaborate, and apply kingdom principles in their spheres of influence. Read more about that here.
